Redditch

A north-east Worcestershire local government district and town, south of Birmingham by approximately (24 km) 15 miles is Redditch, England. In 1348, the year of the outbreak of the Black Death, is the first mention that was recorded of Redditch (thought to be a reference to the River Arrow's red clay that is nearby, Red-Ditch). Needle-making and other traditional industries had been followed by services and light industry that is modern, with Redditch also functioning by the 21st century for Birmingham as a town that is dormitory.

Redditch is undergoing an economic and cultural renaissance in 2002 following the flagship Shopping Centre, Kingfisher, redevelopment. In Worcestershire, just south of the West Midlands urban area is Redditch. Divided into several districts is the Borough of Redditch.

Redditch in the Local Enterprise Partnership of Greater Birmingham & Solihull has participated along with authorities that are neighbouring Bromsgrove, Birmingham, East Staffordshire, Cannock Chase, Solihull, Lichfield, Wyre Forest, and Tamworth since 2011. Have dedicated bus routes are some areas of Redditch; however, over the past 15 years, there have been issues with safety on these routes and 3 children have died. Unsurprisingly called 'Roundabouts of Redditch' and proved so successful that it sparked a national series, was the calendar. Adopted this system at the same time as Redditch (in the 1970s) are other areas of Worcestershire, but many have reverted to the traditional 5-7 infant, 7-11 junior and 11-16/18 secondary schools. In Arrow Valley Country Park, Redditch has 900 acres (3.6 km2) of public open space.

Designated a new town on April 10, 1964 was Redditch, and the population increased dramatically. Represented by Rachel Maclean of the Conservatives, elected in the 2017 General Election, is the parliamentary constituency of Redditch. One of the few areas of the country where the three-tier system of first, middle and high schools still exists is Redditch.

The leisure centre of Abbey Stadium's swimming pool has been heated since June 2013 using heat that is waste diverted from the Crematorium at Redditch. Contained a reference to Redditch when a sociologist, Flora Beniform, mentioned that she was studying an outbreak in Redditch of troilism to the hero Howard Kirk, was Malcolm Bradbury's novel The History Man, which was dramatised by the BBC in 1981. The location of the Royal Enfield motorcycle was Redditch.
